长对话：长对话一般会有一个主要话题，围绕这个话题展开多个回合的对话。对话中的提问者和回答者都可能提供重要信息。例如在校园场景的长对话中，学生可能会向老师提问关于课程作业的问题，老师的回答中就包含解题的关键信息。长对话还常常涉及一些固定场景，如购物场景中的商品价格、优惠活动；职场场景中的工作任务、职业发展等，要熟悉这些场景的常用词汇和表达。
短文听力：短文的逻辑结构比较清晰，开头可能引出主题，中间部分展开论述，结尾进行总结或者升华主题。短文听力中的细节题比较多，要注意听清楚文章中的具体事例、数据等内容。例如，在一篇关于历史事件的短文听力中，事件发生的年代、参与的人物、事件的经过等细节都是考点。
注意数字、时间等特殊信息
数字和时间在四级听力中是常见的考点。对于数字，不仅要听清数字本身，还要注意数字之间的关系，如倍数、比例等。比如听到“ The price of this product has doubled in the last two months.”，这里的“doubled”和“last two months”都需要准确捕捉。时间的表达也有多种形式，像具体的日期（June 1st）、星期（Monday）、时间段（for two hours）等。在听力中，可能会涉及时间的推算，例如“A movie starts at 8:00 p.m. and lasts for two hours.
