提高听力速度
逐渐增加听力材料的语速：在平时的听力练习中，可以从语速较慢的听力材料开始听起，随着听力水平的提高，逐渐增加听力材料的语速。这样可以让我们逐渐适应较快的语速，提高听力速度。例如，先听VOA慢速英语，当能够轻松听懂后，再过渡到VOA标准英语或者其他语速较快的听力材料。
按意群理解听力内容：不要逐字逐句地听，而是要按照意群来理解听力内容。意群是指具有一定意义的一组单词。例如，“I'm going to the library / to borrow some books.”这里“ I'm going to the library”和“to borrow some books”就是两个意群。按照意群来听可以提高听力理解的效率，同时也能适应较快的语速。
四、高效的四级听力训练法
系统训练法
分题型训练：将四级听力分为短篇新闻、长对话和短文听力三个题型进行分别训练。针对每个题型的特点，采用不同的训练方法。对于短篇新闻，要注重新闻导语的理解、六大要素的捕捉以及新闻词汇的积累；长对话训练要关注对话场景、人物关系和对话中的关键信息转换；短文听力则要加强对文章逻辑结构、开头结尾以及细节内容的把握。例如，在进行短篇新闻训练时，可以每天听5 - 10篇新闻，按照听前预测、听时记录、听后分析的步骤进行训练，持续一段时间后，就能提高对短篇新闻听力的解题能力。
分难度训练：根据自己的听力水平，选择不同难度的听力材料进行训练。如果听力基础较差，可以先从简单的听力材料开始，如一些语速较慢、词汇量要求较低的英语对话或者短文。随着听力水平的提高，逐渐增加听力材料的难度，如选择四级真题中的听力材料、VOA标准英语等。这样可以让训练更有针对性，逐步提高听力能力。
